Tegalalang Rice Terraces
Tegalalang Rice terraces is a beautiful rice terrace located at Tegalalang Village, is famous for its beautiful scenes of rice paddies involving the Subak ( Traditional Balinese cooperative irrigation system ). The high roadside location is cool and breezy and it is a well know spot for tourists to stop and take photos.
Ubud Monkey Forest
Ubud Monkey Forest located in the heart of ubud village, padang tegal village, ubud sub district and gianyar regency. Is a small rain forest dwelt by some group of monkeys. The forest forms a sanctuary for the monkey, who are considered sacred and protected. There is even a temple inside, where Balinese go to worship. Somewhere along the line the forest also became a tourist attraction. Tourist can stroll through it and see the monkey up close, watch them play and eat.
Please don`t bring a bag ( plastic or paper ) or plastic bottle.
In generally, monkeys will not come to you if you do not bring bananas or other food. if you are giving food to the monkey and they approached to take it, please do not ever try to pull it back.
The Ubud Market is located opposite the Puri Saren Royal Ubud Palace, The market is divided into two main allotments. The eastern block is open from 04 : 00 am until 10.00 am, is a traditional market serving daily groceries and necessities. And western block in the main art market, open 08:00 am until 06.00pm. A holiday in Bali always calls for some sort of shopping for souvenirs or memorabilia of the trip, so Ubud market is the best place to make the search would be in the artistic central region of the island.
Ubud Palace is an ubud kingdom palace, with beautiful Balinese traditional house as a residence of Ubud king. Located in the center of Ubud, just in front of Ubud traditional market, and it is found by Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel, who has commanded from year 1800 - 1823.
Kecak Fire Dance
When visit to Bali would be not complete without seeing some of the island colorful traditional dance, the kecak dance, fire dance, and the saghyang dance. Take from the Hindhu epic Ramayana, the kecak dance is perhaps the most dramatic. The dance tells the story of prince Rama and his rescue of princess Sita, performed with a troupe of over 50 bare chested men who serve as the chorus.
